How to Cook a New York Strip Steak

You Can Learn How to Cook a New York Strip Steak

If you are anything like me, your mouth is probably watering just at the mention of how to cook a New York Strip steak. By learning how to cook a New York strip steak at your home, you will save a lot of money compared to what a restaurant charges and that alone will make it taste better! Click on the above link and you will see an offer for a cookbook that can show you other ways to cook steaks, ribs and chops.

Keep the steak in the refrigerator until you are ready to prepare it for cooking. Pull it out and place it on a plate and allow it to sit for forty-five minutes to an hour before grilling. This will assure that the meat cooks evenly.

Then, rub the New York Strip Steak with cooking oil and follow with salt and pepper.

If you would like a little more flavor, make a steak rub using your own spices.

Preheat your grill to 500-600 degrees to make sure that the juices are sealed inside the steak by searing the outside. Place your steak on the grill, wait 5 minutes and flip the steak. You are looking for the outside to become very dark in color, but not charred.

After each side of the steak is seared, move the steak to an area on the grill that is not as hot and turn the heat down temperature to cook for another two or three minutes. Do not flip the steak more than once. Remove the steak from the grill, place a half of a tablespoon of butter on each steak and let sit for 5 minutes. Now you are ready to serve. Enjoy!
